Careers

Help us fix the job hunt.

Small team, high standards, no theatre. If you've ever been on the wrong end of an application black hole, you'll understand the work.

What we hold to

Ship it, then say it

We don't announce features we haven't built. The site describes what the product does today, and nothing else.

Plain language

In the product, in the marketing, and in the standup. If a sentence needs decoding, it gets rewritten.

The member is the client

Not the employer, not the advertiser. Nobody pays us to surface their listing, and it changes every decision we make.

How we work

Written-first, remote, and short on meetings.

The honest version, so you can tell early whether it suits you.

Bright minimal workspace

Remote, and actually asynchronous

Written-first. Decisions land in a document rather than a meeting, so being in the wrong timezone costs you nothing. Two scheduled calls a week, maximum.

Small surface, real ownership

You'll own a piece end to end — matching, documents, or the member experience — including the parts that are unglamorous. Nobody here hands off to a team that doesn't exist.

We use what we build

Every person on the team has run their own CV through Sloan and read the shortlist it produced. It's the fastest way to find what's still wrong.

No growth theatre

No dark patterns, no fake urgency, no retention flow designed to trap someone who wants to leave. If you've had to build that before, you'll know why it's on this list.

The process

Four steps, and we tell you either way.

We built a company around the cost of being ignored by an employer. It would be absurd to run a hiring process that does it to you.

  1. Step one

    You write to us

No form and no portal. Tell us what you'd work on and point at something you've made.

  2. Step two

    A conversation

45 minutes with the person you'd work with. About the work, not about whiteboard puzzles.

  3. Step three

    A paid exercise

A real, small piece of the actual problem — scoped to a few hours and paid at your rate. We don't ask for free work.

  4. Step four

    A decision, quickly

An answer within a week of the exercise, either way, with the reason. Being ghosted is the thing this company exists to fix.

Open roles

Nothing open right now — and we won't pretend otherwise.

We could list four roles to look bigger than we are. But a posting that isn't real costs someone a genuine afternoon, and an application that goes nowhere is the exact thing this company was built to fix. So the list is empty until it isn't.

If you'd be good here anyway, write to us. Tell us what you'd work on and point at something you've made — we read all of it, and we answer.
